There are plenty of sources to reach out to when searching for travel inspiration for your first post-quarantine getaway. Some people prefer consulting with a trusted travel agent, asking for the safest vacation recommendations. Others look to their favorite magazines, like Travel and Leisure or National Geographic to find their next dream escape. But digitally savvy vacation-seekers set are increasingly turning to established travel bloggers and social media personalities to plan an upcoming trip.

In Martin County, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the best bloggers in the business. And as the industry celebrates National Travel and Tourism Week this week, we wanted to share a selection of the best bloggers and influencers to follow when dreaming of your next escape.

Wanderlust Chloe

#ad A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting at my computer outside of Portland, Oregon. I had just come off a whirlwind month and was planning to lay low for a while. Instead, I received an invitation from @visitflorida to come experience what the state had to offer. But, I had to leave the next day. So…I had a decision to make. Take it easy, recharge, relax – or hop on a plane early the next morning. I decided I couldn’t pass up the chance to explore Florida from an adventurous standpoint with some photographers I’ve long admired. So, fast forward to now. I’m back, sitting in pjs at my computer, and it almost feels like I dreamed the whole thing. A week of blue skies, clear water, jungle vibes. Beautiful views, good times and good company. I even got to meet my Mom for lunch while I was out there. All because of a last minute email and an open mind. Living spontaneously can be weird, wild and beautiful. The House of Refuge ? Built as one of ten along the east coast of Florida, it is the oldest structure in Martin County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Houses of Refuge were designated as havens for shipwrecked sailors and travelers along the sparsely populated Atlantic coastline of Florida. #ad In partnership with @visitflorida & @discovermartin— The Florida coastline is the final resting place to hundreds of ships throughout the centuries that are scattered along the shallow waters and reefs that surround the state. Those ships obviously had people aboard, and when one would wreck, refuge houses like the one at this location would spot the wreck from the towers and go to care for the stranded sailors until they could find other arrangements or storms had passed over. Hard to imagine how many lives were saved due to places like this throughout the years and what kind of stories the insides have to tell! #visitflorida #LoveFL
