Wheels of Change Exhibit
Not only is the Elliott Museum home to the most comprehensive assemblage or Model A trucks in the world, it also displays this impressive collection in a remarkable way. This library of vehicles is displayed using a unique robotic racking system which retrieves vehicles on demand for display on a turntable. Imagine a vending machine – except replace snacks with full-size vehicles! Cars in the collection range from an 1886 BENZ Patent Motor Wagon to a 2009 Rolls Royce Phantom Sedan.
Guided Tours
All guests are invited to experience the Elliott Museum at their own pace on a self-guided tour, but for those looking for a more in-depth experience, the Elliott Museum offers group and specialty guided tours. The auto collection and garage tour is a must-do for all motor enthusiasts. This special guided tour is offered by Elliott Museum Associate Car Curator John Giltinan on Thursdays at 11 a.m. This tour is free with regular admission.
Art Classes
The Elliott Museum also offers art classes for children and adults! Adult art classes are offered fall through spring with some extending into the winter season. Young artists are invited to participate in the Elliott’s popular, summertime Art Camp. This camp focuses on a host of topics, including acrylic and mixed media painting, ceramics, digital photography and more.
Stuart Main Street Exhibit
Take a step back in time when you explore the Elliott Museum’s Stuart Main Street exhibit. This immersive experience highlights the history of Stuart, Florida and features recreated facades of the Stuart House, the Walter Kitching Store, Seminole Bank and Krueger buildings.
Sterling Elliott Inventions Exhibit
The Elliott Museum’s namesake is prolific inventor, Sterling Elliott. This impressive individual is responsible for the creation of a female-centric bicycle in the 1800’s, an addressing machine, a special steering system and much more. Elliott’s son, Harmon, provided the principal funds for the original museum as a way to celebrate his father’s work.
